   NOTICE
 There will be  minor changes related to permitting in RI and make sure everyone is on the 
                                                                same page. Please share this information with as many people as you can. This information will be going up on the RIDOT permitting site notices as well as on the FAQ page which can 
                                                                be found here - RIDOT_OSOW_FAQs.pdf - with all the other permitting resources.
 
                                                                We are adding a new bridge restrictions list starting in October. It will be for Annual 
                                                                    Divisible Load Permits for a 6 axle combination vehicle. Only for divisible loads up to 104,800 lbs and only 6 or more axles. The 5 axle combination list will remain for those 
                                                                    vehicles.Electronic permits & bridge restrictions lists ARE acceptable forms of the documents. 
                                                                    After reviewing the laws, regs, and all permit language, nothing requires a printed copy except the bridge restrictions list, which is being changed/updated for October 1st.
                                                                
                                                                    The documents MUST be readily available in the vehicle with the driver. Travel time restrictions:
                                                                    Annual divisible load permits have no travel restrictions for times, days, day or night, none.Blanket permits and single trip permits have restrictions ONLY when they are 
                                                                        over 130,000 lbs, over legal width of 8'6" or over 80' long, any one of these.
                                                                        Those restrictions are no travel 7-9am and 3-7pm Monday through Friday 
                                                                            plus holiday restrictions. No restrictions for weekends and no restrictions for day/night.These restrictions are governed by RIGL 31-25-21 here: webserver.rilin
                                                                            .state.ri.us/Statutes/TITLE31/31-25/31-25-21.htmAny information found contrary please bring to my attention and I will work to correct it. We are now allowing oversize travel across the Washington Bridge under certain circumstances:
                                                                    During night time only from 11pm-5am only on Sunday, Monday or Wednesday 
                                                                        nights. No size limits, a permit MUST be acquired and the 96,000 lbs limit still applies. The time is only for the actual bridge and the rest of the route can occur 
                                                                        during different times. ..........................................................
